What This Is

The machine was originally invented by one Trin Tragula in order to annoy his wife. Because she was forever nagging him for having no sense of proportion, he decided to invent something that would show her what having a sense of proportion really meant. Unfortunately the shock of being placed in the Vortex destroyed her brain, but Trin Tragula's grief was tempered by the knowledge that he had been right and she had been wrong. The Total Perspective Vortex had proved that in an infinite universe the one thing sentient life cannot afford to have is a sense of proportion. -Douglas Adams

Who's Side Are You On?!

Mama Podkayne: Mamam, Farm Wife, Writer, Cajun, Dreamer, and Adjunct History and English Professor. Apprentice Beekeeper, Kitchen Scientist/Inventor, and Orchardist (I can make up words, see above profession). I'm learning to play fiddle, though slowly and with much difficulty.

Chad: Farmer, IT guru for a local Insurance Goliath, KOL addict, and incredible father. Fixer of all our things, houses, and problems. He does ALL the pig chores and heavy lifting.

Lil'Bug: Dreamer, explorer, fisher of fish and turtles and treasure, artist, and muddy joyful wild pirate ninja princess. She's 8.

Blueberry Watering Can: She's almost 5, but a watcher of all things, brave quiet girl. She loves kneading bread and eating chocolate and jelly beans. Sometimes her eyes glow blue like in Dune. I kid you not.

Baby Zap: Zaphod Beeblebrox, born in November 2010. Was dignosed with 22q11 deletion syndrome at 5 months old. He's thriving without "intervention" for now.

Also 15 sheep, 1 llama, 10+ pigs at any given time, 15 chickens, 5 ducks, 3 dogs, 3 cats, and one precious metal pig named Wilbur.
